Samsung
Samsung have acquired a reputation for innovative and solidly built hardware, including disks, notebooks and computers.
We have long supplied Samsung hard disks and sometimes their Monitors, but more recently, we have become interested in their hand-held 7" touchscreen PCs and their Atom-based 10.2" Netbooks.

At time of writing, the Q1 Ultra comes with an organizer pack and free USB keyboard, which is perhaps something of an admission that
the split 'thumb' board is of questionable utility? However, the pack does turn the Q1 into a neat desktop, but then why not buy a laptop for half the price?
The jury is still out on the Q1, compare to the more expensive Vye PC for small touchscreen tablets.

Samsung Q1 Ultra
The Q1 Ultra is Samsung's offering in the touchscreen arena, a neat if slightly quirky 7" tablet-style PC, with Windows XP, an Intel Stealey 800Mhz CPU, 1Gb RAM and 60Gb or 80Gb Hard Disks. It has SD/MMC card slots, VGA and RJ45 sockets, and an 'interesting' keyboard, split across the unit, and designed to be used by thumbs, small thumbs, preferably. It does come with a built-in microphone (surprisingly omitted by many other PCs in this class), so if that is your thing, it can be a very self-contained device. But maybe a phone would be better?
